  3. @koyd27 What can I do in my situation, because I bought a car at an auction for $550 and It had no licesne plates and i was responsible for the smog but I never was able to get it to pass smog so i had to keep buying the 1 day movers permit from the DMV and one day i noticed my car was gone bcuz it got towed for having a expired movers day permit i think, i say i think becasue wen i went to the police station they said bcuz i had expired tags or registration but i dont have tags in the first place bcuz i have no plates, and my registration is up-to-date, i bought the car and had it for like only 12 months. There asking me to pay them $2,000 minus the price it Autions off for since i left it there for thirty days, the police dosent have it another tow company does, the police station is asking for a $149 fee and the reop is asking for $2,000 minus the price it Autions off for…..do i have to pay the police the $149 and the repo the remaining balance becaues i dont care abut the car anymore.

  5. Your not screwed in Texas if the police order the towing of your car and put a hold on it. I called the state licensing office for towing and storage in Texas. There rules state that you will not be charged for storage fees if a police put a hold on your vehicle and its racking up storage fees. Then in the States opinion your car is being held for ransom and you don't have to pay storage fees. If the police want a hold on it then they have to pay the storage fees. I even called twice to verify the states rules and policy on this law. I had to educate both the police and towing company about this law. Yes I live in a small town. Additional if there are no city ordinances covering towing and storage rules then the states rules govern every situation. I also found that you do not have to pay more they 1 1/2 times they normal towing fee when the police have your vehicle towed. Great law look it up and don't pay extra.

  14. Look I DON'T CARE what the laws say in your states. If you don't live in Arizona this video is not for you. STOP, DON'T CONTINUE TO WATCH THIS VIDEO. Your opinions don't mean jack shit to me. I know how the laws work HERE IN ARIZONA PERIOD, no other state just Arizona as I say in the video. Don't waste your time leaving any comments if you don't live here. Nobody cares about your opinions just keep them to your self and in you damn head because you're the only person that wants to hear them PERIOD.

  15. if you look up the definition of "owner" in the related laws (utility code or wherever)its much wider than "registered owner", I had this happen to me in Colorado had to go to court since the impound lot refused to release my car even for money- the tow yard had that typical sign "registered owners only". Bullshit. They MUST and SHALL release to ANY "owner"- even someone with "verbal permission" top use the car; even someone else who is merely authorized by the first person with "verbal permission". In other words, any plausible claim must be honored.

If I am the only one who knows the car is towed, the only one in 48 hours who has claimed it, knows everything about the car about the circumstances whats inside the car… it's none of their business about "registration". In my case, the court actually ordered the tow yard to release my property. Why does anyone think the tow people could verify :registration" anyway? At most they may have access to the system of one State. otherwise, staring at papers is not helping.

The purpose of registration has nothing to do with "ownership". Vehicle Registration is a permit to do business or activities on the highways. It's not meant to "prove" anything to 3rd parties like a tow yard. It can help, but it cant hurt.

  20. Hi I sent you an e-mail, did you get that? As of yesterday it's been 30 days today 31 a cost of $195.00 for the tow, after 10 days they filed for an abandoned vehicle title form with the DMV so they say an inspector was called out and that is a cost of $30.00 I Seriously can NOT believe they want me to pay that and the tow cost to sign the title over to them??? he said that would be my cheapest way out otherwise next time I go to register a vehicle ion my name I have to pay $500.00 to DMV for not surrendering the title willingly!!!! Can You Believe that Fu@#%$# Bullshit??? Hell if anything, THEY should pay me at the least the minimum $725.00 So the daily storage rate is $25.00 and as of today it's a total of $1,000.00 I wanted to go get the car back today as I only found your info Yesterday evening. the lady at the DMV told me I have until the 6th of Jan. to pick up the car otherwise they will award the title to them, even after me the registered owner made contact to tell them NOT to transfer the title. Your thoughts or advise on any of this? Oh and it was towed off a apartment complex where I was seeing a friend so I was a guest.

  22. This is Arizona ~ If your vehicle has been towed from private property, there are State statutes as well as local/county ordinances which control the towing and release of your vehicle. In general, police agencies are not involved in this type of tow; however, towing companies are required to notify the law enforcement agency within the town/city/county from where the vehicle was towed

  23. you're dumb, it's a civil case and the police have no authority to make the impound lot release your car for free. The only thing you can do is pay and then try to sue in small claims court. If that's all it takes, prove it, get your car impounded and video yourself telling the lot you're not going to pay, and then call the police after the tower laughs at you. WoW
